Question: what is the significance of the F85 name

why did Oldsmobile call it the F85, is there a significance to it?

Built by McDonnell in 1947, it was a military aircraft originally called the XF-85 Goblin. So small that it was launched from the bombay of the Convair B-36, the F-85 was dubbed "The Flying Egg"
