Your air bags have dry rot and are most likely leaking. Went through this last year on my 91. The pump started kicking on more and more frequently and when fall set in, the cold weather caused the back to completely drop down. It got to the point where it was taking upwards of a minute to get the car back up every time I parked. The end result was me disposing of the air bags with a conversion kit from StrutMasters. It's an easy, cheap, do-it-yourself kit that replaces the bags with retro-fitted coil springs. The directions are on-line for you to view before purchasing. I've never done anything like this and had them in within an hour. Open boxes can be purchased off e-bay for much less. The car's ride had minimal changes and I'm very pleased with the end results. Don't have to worry about the pump or anything else going out with the suspension now that it's converted. A good investment and alternative for an older car.
